Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born
August 26 in 2002. He is known as Lil Tecca. He gained mainstream recognition
after the release of his 2019 single "Ransom", which was a top 4 hit
on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut mixtape of his, We Love You Tecca (2019)
included the hit single. It peaked at fourth place in the US Billboard 200. The
mixtape also included singles Love Me and Did It Again. His debut studio album
called Virgo World (2020) was released #10 on the Billboard 200 and included
the Billboard Hot 100's top-charting tracks "Dolly" as well as
"When You Down". The second mixtape he released, We Love You Tecca 2
was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It",
"Lot of Me" as well as others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was a son
of Jamaican immigrants. He was born August 26 2002, in Queens, New York City.
He was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens and later
moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe has always dreamed of being able to
join the NBA when he was a kid, but at the age of 12, Sharpe made the decision
to pursue a profession in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. When
Tecca was nine years old, he catered to his passion for music by rapping with
his friends using his Xbox. One of their diss tracks was posted to SoundCloud
some time ago but was later removed. At first, he didn't have plans to pursue a
career in music however, he had a dream of becoming an NBA star. Through his
middle school years however, he started to become bored with basketball and
began taking music seriously. The first track that gained some recognition,
"Tectri", was recorded by him and his friend, Lil Gummybear, and was
released in the beginning of 2017. He also dropped "Callin", another
of his first songs. Just a year later the career of Tecca began to grow by
releasing his smash single "Ransom" and was originally uploaded on
Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 the 22nd of May,
2019. The song peaked at 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and was played over
900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
