Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born on September
7, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theatre
actor and writer, while her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach.
She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an
actor. Evan and her brothers sometimes were on stage in the Theatre In The Park
in Raleigh the theater that her father founded and where the director is
executive. She was just five when she auditioned for the role in Interview with
the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). In 1996, she relocated to Los
Angeles along with her brother Ira and mom. She has appeared in TV shows,
feature films, and TV movies ever since. She starred as Tracy in Practical
Magic (1998) and in S1m0ne (2002 the child of Al Pacino). Holly Hunter followed
with Thirteen (2004). Her breakthrough role in the role of Tracy in
"Thirteen" resulted in a Golden Globes nomination and a Screen Actors
Guild Award nomination. At the time of the SAG nomination she was the youngest
actress to be nominated for the Leading Role category. Her role in the role of
Veda Pierce in the HBO mini-series Mildred, Pierce (2011) earned her an Emmy
nomination and an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe award. The actress also
received acclaim for her impressive performance in the role of Stephanie the
estranged Mickey Rourke's daughter in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008).

sister and Dana Wood's older sister. She is a dancer who has been trained. She
is a fan of singing, swimming or rollerblade and also go on horseback rides.
She holds the black belt in tae the kwon-do. Is still in touch with the
majority of her Once and Again (1999) co-stars: Mischa Barton, Julia Whelan as
well as Shane West.
